Formula Used

Calendar days remaining = Exam date and time − Current date and time
Available study days = Eligible preferred days − Blackout dates − Holidays − Revision buffer − Catch-up days
Remaining topics = Total topics − Completed topics
Remaining study hours = (Remaining topics × Hours per topic × Difficulty multiplier) − Completed study hours
Required study hours per day = Remaining study hours ÷ Available study-day equivalents
Topics per day = Remaining topics ÷ Available study-day equivalents
Preparation percentage = Maximum of topic progress, entered preparation, and completed-hour progress
Schedule status = Available study capacity − Remaining study hours

Frequently Asked Questions

How does the live countdown work?

It compares each exam timestamp with the current browser time. The nearest upcoming exam updates every second. Completed exams receive a clear history status.

Can I add several exams?

Yes, every exam becomes a separate dashboard item. You can edit, remove, sort, and filter entries. The nearest exam receives the main summary.

How are study days calculated?

The planner counts selected weekdays between both dates. It removes holidays and blackout dates. Half-study dates contribute one-half study-day equivalent.

What happens after a missed study day?

Update completed topics or finished study hours. Recalculate the plan using current progress. Remaining work redistributes across the eligible days automatically.

Does it detect impossible schedules?

Yes, it compares required hours with available capacity. A warning appears when demand exceeds capacity. Increase daily hours or reduce remaining workload.

Can weekends be excluded?

Yes, deselect Saturday or Sunday under preferred days. Any weekday can be excluded. Weekend-focused planning remains available as a workload strategy.

Can I export the schedule?

You can download CSV, PDF, and ICS files. The nearest exam can open in Google Calendar. Printing creates a clean study plan.

Are browser reminders guaranteed?

No, reminders depend on browser permission and page availability. They work while this calculator stays open. Exported calendar reminders offer better reliability.

Where is my plan stored?

The Save Locally button uses browser local storage. Data remains on the current device and browser. Clearing browser storage removes saved plans.
