Formula Used

Coefficient combines Damage with expected critical contribution. Effective Critical Hit respects the selected cap. Optional buffs remain outside the standard formula.

Coefficient = Damage + (Damage × Critical Damage ÷ 100 × Effective Critical Hit ÷ 100)

Buffed coefficient applies enabled bonuses after the standard calculation. Light-adjusted score uses the selected enemy requirement. These advanced scores remain configurable estimates for build planning.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a Trove coefficient?

It is a community build comparison measurement. It combines Damage with expected critical contribution. Higher values usually indicate stronger average offensive output overall.

How is the coefficient calculated?

The formula starts with the selected Damage stat. It adds expected damage from Critical Hit and Critical Damage. Enabled buffs are displayed separately after standard coefficient calculation.

Does Light affect the standard coefficient?

Light is excluded from the traditional coefficient formula. This page provides a separate Light-adjusted planning score. Treat that result as an editable comparison estimate only.

Which Damage field should I use?

Select automatic, physical, magic, or custom Damage. Automatic mode uses the calculator's editable class mapping. Override the choice whenever your build needs different handling.

What happens above the Critical Hit cap?

Only effective Critical Hit contributes to the coefficient. Extra displayed Critical Hit remains visible in comparisons. The recommendation highlights wasted chance above your selected cap.

Should I increase Damage or Critical Damage?

The better option depends on existing stat balance. The optimizer tests every permitted boost distribution automatically. Compare its result before changing expensive gem allocations permanently.

How do gem boosts affect results?

Gem bonuses are added to entered base statistics. The optimizer can distribute new boosts across three stats. It reports the allocation matching your selected goal.

Why might my in-game damage differ?

Enemy defenses and ability behavior can change outcomes. Temporary bonuses may also apply differently in combat. Update custom multipliers using current patch information before comparing.

Are subclass and flask bonuses supported?

Both options appear inside each build's buff section. Enable each bonus and enter its active percentage. Disabled buff values never change calculated coefficient results.

Can I compare more than two builds?

The main table compares current and proposed builds. Exported JSON files can store many separate configurations. Save additional versions locally and reload them when needed.

Are class skill coefficients fixed?

No fixed patch assumptions are required here. Every build includes an editable class or skill multiplier. Confirm current values before using advanced DPS estimates.
