Verify a range card
A reliable firing solution starts with a tested distance table. Select a starter profile. Compare several distances with the current game interface. Replace uncertain values in the local profile editor. Add reference rows where elevation changes quickly. More verified rows reduce interpolation error and make corrections easier to repeat.
Use map geometry
Place the gun marker first. Place the target marker second. The map calculates straight-line distance and clockwise bearing. It also produces a grid and keypad label. Drag markers when an observer sends an updated position. Apply the map solution to move its distance, bearing, grid, and nearest-friendly estimate into the main calculator.
Handle terrain carefully
Static guns on level ground may need only a range lookup. A mobile platform can sit on sloped terrain. Automatic mode uses an editable small-angle approximation. Manual mode accepts a known terrain MIL value. Flat mode removes terrain correction. Treat automatic terrain output as a calibration aid rather than live game telemetry.
Walk ranging shots
Fire one ranging round before a long salvo. Ask the observer for short, long, left, or right information. Distance controls move the target solution in meters. MIL controls apply direct elevation corrections. Undo reverses the latest change. Restore original returns to the first calculated solution before shot walking began.
Coordinate several targets
Save each request as a mission. Include its grid, squad, marker, priority, shell, observer state, and notes. Move missions through waiting, ranging, active, check-fire, and complete states. Duplicate-grid warnings highlight overlapping requests. Stale warnings appear after the configured age. Communication templates create consistent command messages.
Protect friendly movement
The calculator compares the nearest friendly distance with the danger-close radius. Friendlies placed on the map also affect this warning. These checks never guarantee safety. Units may move after a shot is fired. Confirm the target before every salvo. Apply check fire immediately when friendly units enter the impact area.
Track ammunition
Enter high-explosive and smoke inventory. Planned mission rounds appear in the resource panel. Recording a shot or firing a mission consumes the selected ammunition type. Low-ammunition warnings use your custom threshold. Capacities, resupply progress, node status, and cost remain editable because game rules may change.
Export and preserve data
Calculations and missions are stored in the browser. Search history by target, grid, weapon, shell, faction, or notes. Pin useful records. Export history as CSV for spreadsheet review. Export JSON for backups. Print the page and choose the browser’s save-to-PDF option for a portable firing report.
