Formula used

GPA = Total quality points ÷ Total credit hours
Quality points = Grade points × Credit hours

Each course contributes quality points based on its credits. Higher-credit courses affect GPA more strongly. Zero-credit courses do not change the denominator.

Weighted GPA adds course difficulty adjustments. The selected method controls those adjustments. Institutional policies can produce different outcomes.

What is the difference between weighted and unweighted GPA?

Unweighted GPA uses standard grade points. Weighted GPA rewards advanced course difficulty. School policies determine the exact bonus.

How are credit hours used?

Credit hours control each course contribution. A four-credit course has more influence. Zero-credit courses do not affect GPA.

Can I enter percentages instead of letters?
