Formula Used
Net area = Gross measured area − Openings and cutouts
Required coverage = Net area × (1 + combined allowance ÷ 100)
Tile pieces = Ceiling(required coverage ÷ tile area) + reserve pieces
Boxes = Ceiling(tile pieces ÷ pieces per box)
Slabs = Ceiling(required slab coverage ÷ slab area)
Weight = Purchase coverage × thickness × marble density
Grand total = Subtotal − discount + tax
How to Use This Calculator
- Select one unit for every linear measurement.
- Add each floor, wall, stair, countertop, or custom surface.
- Enter openings and cutouts as deductions.
- Provide tile or slab dimensions and packaging rules.
- Choose pattern waste, breakage, and batch reserve.
- Add density, materials, labor, finishing, tax, and delivery costs.
- Calculate, review warnings, then export or save results.
Important Planning Notes
Marble varies between batches, slabs, and tiles. Purchase matching stock together when veining continuity matters.
Complex rooms and fragile pieces need larger allowances. Confirm final quantities with your supplier or installer.
Weight results are estimates. Structural, lifting, transport, and handling decisions need professional review.
