Adjusted volume = net volume × (1 + waste percentage ÷ 100)
Bags required = adjusted volume ÷ effective yield per bag

Yes. Concrete bags are purchased as whole units, and rounding upward prevents the pour from ending short.

What waste percentage should I use?

Five to ten percent suits many simple projects. Irregular excavations, difficult access, and uncertain dimensions may justify more.

Can I use the calculator for post holes?

Why does the water estimate show a range?
